Having your camera on you is perhaps the most important attribute to much of photography. On this cold February morning and iPhone would just not have done the subject justice with the fog so thick it resembled London in the industrial era.
Fortunately I had the camera + tripod in the car, so a quick detour via Putney Embankment to grab some eerie shots of the river Thames before getting too cold.
I do so much commercial work, that it is easy to forget what it is like to just go out and 'take photos' for the art and pleasure of it. Something I vowed a while ago to make sure I did every now and again.
